##Support

We’re here to help.

The quickest way to reach us is from Writy itself: choose Help ▸ Send Feedback…, pick Question or Problem, and write to us. It sends the Writy and macOS versions along, so we know what you’re using. You can also write to hello@writy.com.

Where are my sheets?

In your library’s folder, as plain Markdown files: Writy’s own in iCloud Drive (iCloud Drive ▸ Writy in Finder), unless you chose another. Groups are subfolders. To see or change the folder, use File ▸ Change Library Folder…, or the library’s … menu.

I deleted a sheet. Can I get it back?

Yes. A deleted sheet goes to the Trash, at the foot of the library. Right-click it and choose Restore, and it goes back where it was, with its pictures.

Can I get an earlier version of a sheet back?

Yes. Choose File ▸ Browse Versions…, or right-click the sheet. Versions shows the sheet’s history by day, each compared with the text you have now. Restore This Version puts it back, and keeps the text it replaces first.

A sheet says it has a conflict

The sheet changed in two places at once, for example on two Macs, and Writy kept both texts rather than lose either. Open File ▸ Browse Versions…: it sets the texts side by side, and Keep This One keeps the one you want. To combine them, copy a passage over by hand.

How do I bring my writing over from another app?

File ▸ Import… brings over a whole library from another writing app as a new group, and leaves that app’s library as it was. Or export Markdown files from the other app and drop them into your library folder.

How do I manage my subscription?

In the App Store: click your name, then Account Settings, then Subscriptions. Refunds are Apple’s to give; ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
