The Writy Beta Is Open.
Writy is almost ready, and before it goes out into the world, we’d like it to spend some time with writers. We’re looking for people who write long things on a Mac — novels, essays, travel pieces, a thesis — to use it for about six weeks and tell us how it goes.

Writy is a quiet place to write: a calm page for long prose, in plain Markdown files that stay yours, in a folder you choose. It keeps your library of sheets and groups, every sheet’s history, and your writing goals, and it exports a sheet or a whole group to Word or PDF.
In the beta, you write in Writy as you would anyway. It comes through Apple’s TestFlight, which installs it and keeps it up to date. When something helps, gets in the way, or is missing, tell us with Help ▸ Send Feedback…, or “Question? Problem?” at the foot of the groups pane. We read every message, and we answer.
Testers who tell us how it goes get Writy free for life when it comes out: our thanks for helping it get ready.
The beta is open to anyone. To join, open Writy on TestFlight on your Mac. And we’d love to know what you write and what you write in now: tell us at feedback@writy.com, and we’ll write back.
Thank you for reading this far. If Writy sounds like your kind of place to write, we’d love to hear from you.
P.S. Thank you, Steve Jobs.
